There are many hotels in Fort Collins, but there is nothing quite as quaint and inviting as the Porter House Bed & Breakfast in Windsor, which is a mere 10 minutes from Fort Collins. Windsor has a number of darling gift shops, fine dining and casual restaurants, too many golf courses to count, and majestic views of the Rocky Mountains.
Fort Collins is located only 14 miles to the
northwest of Windsor. Visit its "Old Town" for wonderful
quaint shops and many fine restaurants. Colorado State University
is famous for its Agriculture and Veterinarian Schools located on
College Avenue. The Lincoln Center hosts many concerts, exhibits,
and "speakers of the day". Fort Collins is also a mecca
of micro breweries, which offer tours, tastings, and have
restaurants incorporated within them. Stroll through the Anheuser
Busch Gardens, see the magnificent Clydesdale horses, and enjoy a
free tour of this notable brewery.
To the southeast of Windsor is Greeley, home of the university
of Northern Colorado, and the renown Greeley Symphony.
Centennial Village brings area history to life for the public.
Loveland, nicknamed The Sweetheart City, is a
community known for its love affair with the arts. Benson Park
Sculpture Garden holds one of the largest public collections of
bronze sculptures in the country.
